In recent years, my country's galvanized sheet production has increased year by year, while imports have also increased year by year, the growth rate is even higher than the increase in production; after deducting repeated production statistics, galvanized sheet consumption is about 5.27 million tons. After 1999, the import volume of galvanized sheet exceeded the production volume for the first time. The self-sufficiency rate of domestic products is less than 50%, and there is a trend of decreasing year by year.
(1) Current status of galvanized sheet consumption
In recent years, the increase in domestic production of galvanized sheets is mainly due to the increase in the production of hot-dip galvanized sheets. From 1998 to 2002, the production of hot-dip galvanized sheets increased from 970,000 tons to 2.2 million tons; Increased from 370,000 tons in 1998 to 1.56 million tons in 2002; apparent consumption increased from 1.32 million tons to 3.67 million tons. In 2002, the self-sufficiency rate of domestic products of hot-dip galvanized sheet was about 60%. The domestic production and imports of hot-dip galvanized sheet increased from the previous year, especially the increase in imports was greater, mainly due to the supply The increase in demand for thin-gauge hot-dip galvanized sheets for color-coated sheet production has led to a decrease in the domestic product self-sufficiency rate.
(2) Current consumption status of electrogalvanized sheet
In recent years, with the rapid development of the family car market, the basic popularity of household appliances and personal computers, the massive export of electronic products, and the development of the security door market, the demand for electrogalvanized sheets has grown too fast. At present, the production scale of electrogalvanized sheets in my country, whether in terms of quantity, variety and quality, cannot meet the needs of the domestic market. From 1998 to 2002, the domestic production of electrogalvanized sheets increased slowly, from 170,000 tons to 400,000 tons; while the imports increased rapidly, from 730,000 tons to 1.78 million tons; the apparent consumption increased from 870,000 tons To 2.16 million tons. The domestic product self-sufficiency rate is less than 20%.
