Roofing sheet manufacturers talking about the classification of roofs

  • Time:2024-06-03
The roof can be divided into:
1. Sloping roof
Traditional sloping roofs mostly adopt traditional methods such as adding various tile roofs on wooden truss or steel wooden truss, wooden purlins, and wooden slabs; while modern sloping roofs are mostly changed to reinforced concrete roof truss (or roof beam) and roof slabs. , Plus waterproof roofing and other practices.
Sloping roofs generally have large slopes, such as a high-span ratio of 1/6 to 1/4. No matter it is a double slope or a four slope, drainage is relatively smooth, and a suspended ceiling is set below. The thermal insulation effect is better.
2. Flat roof
The flat roof has a small slope and a high span ratio of 1/10. The roof is basically flat and can be used for people's activities, and some can be used as a roof garden or even a helipad. The flat roof is composed of a load-bearing structure, a functional layer and a roof. The load-bearing structure is mostly reinforced concrete beams (or truss) and slabs. Except for the waterproof function of the roof, the other layers are set according to different regions. Insulation layers should be added in cold areas, and in hot areas.
3. Other roofs (such as suspension cables, thin shells, arches, folded roofs, etc.)
Some modern large-span buildings such as stadiums use metal plates as roof materials, such as color profiled steel plates or ultra-lightweight heat-insulated composite sandwich panels that are lightweight, high-strength, and well-insulated and waterproof.
